It’s very common to hear a success story about a professional athlete who wouldn’t have made it out of their circumstances were it not for their local community center, or the businessman who learned life skills through the neighborhood after school program. You always see the story that the media feels good parading. What they miss is the countless other stories of lives that were changed. It is not nearly as popular to cover the hands and feet that give their time to make these efforts happen.

Reviving Urban Neighborhoods (R.U.N.) are those hands and feet. R.U.N. is a 501(c)3 organization that is committed to seeing meaningful and impactful change continue to happen in the communities we grew up in.

Currently serving the Louisville, KY area, we are focused on being a philanthropic catalyst for radical change. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the community, its resources, and opportunities.  We believe that the work we’re willing to do is more powerful than the wishes we’re willing to think.
