The Dirt Bowl is a historic annual event in Louisville, KY. The Dirt Bowl was created in 1969 by Ben Watkins and Janis Carter, and is the 2nd oldest outdoor summer league in the United States of America. This has been a community staple for over 50 years, and is held in Shawnee Park in the west end of Louisville, Kentucky. Throughout the years, many ABA, NBA, and streetball legends have graced the court in this iconic league. Reviving Urban Neighborhoods, Inc. has served as the fiscal sponsor of the Dirt Bowl since 2019.
